This page provides milestones and documents for the nomination and selection of new members into the Virginia Shaggers Hall Of Fame Class of 2026. Some links may be "inactive" unless you are a registered member and are logged in.
- The best/easiest way to make your nomination
- Complete your narrative portion, the five categories, using your preferred word processor. (File 1)
- Complete the nomination form portion with the fillable form--"Click" for the fillable form. (File 2)
- Compose an email to the Nomination Chairperson, attach the two files, and send it.

Milestones
- Memo to membership initiating the process--July 13, 2025. If you haven't received this memo click on the link above under "Documents"
- Distribution of Nomination Form--July 13, 2025. Also available above under "Documents"
- Submission of Nomination Packages--Prior to midnight September 5, 2026. All nomination packages must be signed and sent to the Nominations Chairperson, Debbie Liverman. You may email the package, as an attachment to the email, to Debbie at [email protected] or send it by first-class mail to Debbie's address below:

- The Nominations Chairperson will reply/confirm receipt of your nomination package via email when it is received by email or by telephone call if it is mailed by first-class mail.
- Nomination packages and Ballot available--October 3, 2025. All nomination packages will be available for review on line. For those who are registered access to nomination packages will be immediate. For those who are not registered, the Nominations Committee Chairperson will mail hard copies, IF, THEY HAVE SPECIFIED TO THE ELECTIONS COMMITTEE CHAIR THAT THEY WANT HARD COPIES. Say again, if you are not registered on the web page and prefer to receive correspondence via hard copy, you will receive the memo, the ballot, notice that the nomination packages are available, and a ballot via the US postal system. If you do not inform the Nominations Committee Chairperson that you want hard copies of the nominations packages, you will not receive them.
- Voting--Ballots will be due by November 9, 2025 and should be postmarked by November 1, 2025.
- Counting of Votes. Around November 15, 2025. Voting will be accomplished by a mailed-in ballot. Your completed ballot must be postmarked prior to midnight, November 1, 2025. Notification of those selected will be as soon as possible following the counting of the votes. The Nominations Committee Chair will notify the Board and the sponsors of all nominees, either by email or by telephone, of the results for their nominee. The sponsor should then convey the results to the nominee.
- All those selected will be inducted at the dance/induction ceremony normally held in March.
